First, I want to make an icon for when I'm doing mod stuff. Something like 'mod hat on'.
2nd, I was looking through the icons I've made, and damn I think I want to repost all of them because I still like them. The problem of course is that most of them are for old and unpopular comics like 2000AD (mmm, gonzo sci-fi goodness). I also have a bunch from the early Brave and the Bold comics some of which have great emotions.
So I guess I need to figure out where I'm going to host them (it's hard to find stuff in the Wordpress media thingy) and how many I'm going to post at once.
... I should go back through my Wordpress site and tag 'icons' on the Ben-Day Shots posts. And apparently download the icons from them because some of them I don't have on my computer.
... and apparently I need to check links on them because I just found one for a blog that's gone :(
Edit: tag added. The Ben-Day Shots posts are still funny. And there was only one broken link, because some of them already lead to archive.org links. Good job past me. I should see if I can find my spreadsheet where I was tagging and making comments on the comics.
Edit the 2nd: Somebody talk me out of starting a community just for icons from comics.... I already have too many communities including at least two that I don't do anything with (Writers Cafe and Ursula Vernon Tweet Meme)

Rainbow/rainbow-ish icon bases

I found these images to make icons for Rainbow Fic on Dreamwidth and it’s related communities. There’s actually more than I can use. Anyway, I’m sharing them in three sizes – 100px, 200px, and 600px – which should work for wherever you want to use them. (I think it’s Discord that wanted a great big size). Credit to Silvercat17 if you want; I don’t really care. Do whatever you want with them.
(you can see the images on my Wordpress site)

Icon Meme from LB-Lee
Jan. 26th, 2019 03:36 pmComment "hit me up" and I'll pick 3 of your icons for you to comment on! Here are the three
lb_lee picked:
I never actually use this icon, so I should replace it. It's various images from Batman #153, so it's the original version of Kathy Kane's Batwoman and her niece Betty Kane as Bat-girl. This was in the middle of the era where weird aliens were showing up all the time. And since it's the 60s all women want to pin down a man and all men won't admit they like the women.
I'm working on organizing all my ebooks and pirated comics so I can keep track of what I've actually read. I like making icons from them, even though they're not especially popular. I've got a batch to go up from the original Brave and the Bold (Silent Knight! Viking Prince! Golden Gladiator!) and Batman: The Brave and the Bold, based on the excellent cartoon. Although apparently I need to repost all of the icons I've made, since they've disappeared because of Photobuckets' jerkasity.
I have no idea where I got this one, but it's accurate. If you can't read the tiny script, it says "If fandom has taught me nothing else, it has taught me that EVERYTHING was a hotbed of mad sex." Yeah. So it's good for any sort of slashy, shippy fandom stuff. Which I don't do a lot of anymore, but whatever.
This is from the Judge Dredd story in 2000ad #18. Doesn't the poor head look so sad? It was my defaul icon until just a few minutes ago because it's so cute. This is a "brainbloom" which is illegal in MegaCity 1 because of what it eats (which is never stated, but it's probably people or something). They sing and can hypnotize people. 2000 AD is full of weird stories, which I love, especially the one-shots like this one.

Okay, this is a really strange story. This is almost Silver Age weirdness level strange, except like all these early stories it's really short, so you don't get any explanations. So we're going to do something special here - the first 'episode' of a relaunched version of Thunderian Science Theater.
I started it on my old Thundercats fansite, and those are pretty much gone (although I could put them back up). I started to relaunch it on Livejournal and only did a few, which are now borked because of Photobucket. So here's take three:

This is all the icons from the Ben-Day Shots I've done so far. Credit isn't necessary, but if you want to credit to Silvercat17 & DC. Feel free to use or alter as you want. And if you have any suggestions for captions for animated ones, I'm open.
