Tomorrow we're heading to Iowa, stopping on the way to see Antique Archeology.

I've bought several tablecloths, scifi magazines, and cufflinks. There's a HUGE antique mall in Maumee, so that was awesome. The day before though we had gone to the Applebutter Festival in Grand Rapids (OH, not MI) and I ended up spending most of the day barefoot because the back of the heel of my shoe had already giving me a bit of a blister. And I think that my soles were bruised or something and between that and wearing my moccasin-type shoes that have no support, my feet were killing me and I kept having to sit down and rest as I shopped. But I got lots of goodies - 130 dollars worth.

We're going to be driving a lot tomorrow and the next couple of days, so I'm trying to get things typed up so I can put them on my e-reader so I can reference them while I write.

In general, it reminds me a lot of Northern California, at least superficially. Differences from California: the random bits of red in the brush are not poison oak, most of the yards aren't fenced or have short fences - I guess people in California are more territorial? - everything is really cheap - I can get lunch for five bucks, water at the Applebutter Fest was a buck, gas is like $3.50 - squirrels are red and chipmunks abound.
