Gather Town

The virtual convention I attended last week used Gather.town to create the online space. It's cute and looks kind of like a video game. I thought it would be useful for work-alongs because:

-you have chat and video

-there are no time limits

-the participant limit is 25 people (for a free host account)

-no log-in necessary, although you can sign in to save your avatar and name

You can approach avatars to start video chat or and make private areas where everyone can hear each other. The chat has two settings: everyone and the people nearby

So I set up a basic one.  Gather has a tutorial before you go into my actual room and I'll probably set up an area with instructions.
