What I've been working on: freebies for Daz3d

(Originally posted at Silver Does Stuff)

Two things I'm going to releasing for free soon. They'll be on Renderosity and Renderhub. The first is a no navel geograft and the second is shaders for Thundercats style glowing eyes.

A few years back I made a geograft that would remove the navel on Genesis 8 Female. The site I put it on (sharecg) is gone. So I've made a spiffy promo image and also set it up for Genesis 8 Male AND that it works with the new PBR skin shader.

four figures in Daz3d in underwear. They have unnaturally colored skin (pink, lavender, teal, and green) and pointed ears. And they don't have belly buttons

You still have to edit the texture files to remove the painted in navel, but at least there's no divot.

The same figures but with no hair and with all grey textures with a blue or pink patch over their belly button

This is an early render showing the geograft.

Thet next thing is a material preset for Genesis 8 (or any other figure with the same surfaces set up; I think Genesis 3 is one) that gives them glowing eyes like in Thundercats when Lion-o would call the others. This will probably get released tomorrow (Jun 21) because I just have to check that I didn't screw up the files and then package it.

Cheetara from the original version of Thundercats with glowing eyes

Wilykit and Wilykat in their suspension capsule, with glowing eyes

I decided to go with the version where the pupil shows slightly. I also made the white of the eyes glow some as well. These are all settings that are easy to change if people want to.

An anthro mountain lion character with yellow glowing eyes

This is Swordcat, an non-Thunderian OC that is obviously a Lion-o reference. (I love Swordcat a whole bunch)

A character with ocelot type markings and yellow glowing eyes, at night

This is Ocelar who is a Thunderian. I think the effect looks best when the pupil is really small, but logically it wouldn't always be.

The effect also works in lighter environments.

The same character but during the day. You can now see she's wearing a green jacket and bodysuit

(This isn't actually what Ocelar's uniform looks like but it's a promo for a freebie so I'm not going to be too persnickety, especially as nobody cares but me)
